In honor of the recent birthday of one of the greatest men ever to be in any way affiliated with sports, John Wooden, it seems appropriate to use his words to start off a piece about myth and reality.
Be more concerned with your character than your reputation, because your character is what you really are, while your reputation is merely what others think you are.
