The Brewers have agreed to terms with John Halama.
Halama is much in the same position Chris Capuano is. He will get an invitation to Spring Training and will most likely start the season in Triple-A Nashville, where he will have to show himself.
Halama last pitched in the majors in 2006 with Baltimore. During that time he was going through a bad divorce, and he dropped out of baseball.
Halama played in the Indians' farm system in 2008 and the Braves' farm system last year. Halama has a career 4.65 ERA with a winning record. However, in the past two seasons in the minors he has posted an ERA in the same range.
Halama caught the Brewers' attention with his dominant pitching in this year's winter league baseball. He is currently playing in the Dominican League and is 4-3 with a 2.15 ERA.
