There were few stories that were better to watch this year than Carl PavanoÆs re-emergence into baseball. After winning just nine games from 2005-08, Pavano came back with a vengeance this season, winning 14 games for a Twins team that made a remarkable run to the playoffs. As good of a story as this has been, there is worry that comes out of this. I am afraid that Omar Minaya might try and sign Pavano to the Mets.
Anyone else see a problem with this? We all know that the guy has talent. Heck, the year before his career went into the crapper, he won 18 games and he was the king of the world, but everything crashed around him. He couldnÆt stay healthy and he made the Yankees pay for their rather large investment. They got nothing in return, and I am afraid the same fate ...
