I find there's a lot to read during spring training, but not a lot to write. The main reason being I don't get a chance to watch many of the games, and don't feel like recycling other people's opinions as my own.

As I was perusing the many Mets-related blogs I frequent, I read the news that Ike Davis, the team's likely future first baseman, was sent back down to the minors.
I know the Mets' stance on Davis is that they'd rather he get another season of playing every day in the minors, even though he's had arguably the most productive spring training of any Met offensively.
