Steelers Quarterback Controversy: Dennis Dixon Should Start Week One
Posted: 2nd May 2010 by Matt Miselis in NFL
Two weeks have nearly gone by since the suspension of Ben Roethlisberger. The Steelers quarterback was handed at least four games, and it can go up to six pending the NFL office's decision.
With that in mind, the Steelers have a quarterback controversy for the time being. A three quarterback battle currently stands between Dennis Dixon, Byron Leftwich, and Charlie Batch.
Dixon started one game last season with Roethlisberger was injured, ...
Will Darren Sharper Be Among Jacksonville Jaguars’ New Leaders in 2010?

On the surface, the lack of turnover in the Jaguars' starting lineup after last year's season-ending four-game losing streak might seem surprising.
As new middle linebacker Kirk Morrison observed in his introductory press conference, "If you don't win, things have to change."
It's last summer, though, where heads that needed to roll were put on the chopping block in Jacksonville. Four rookies emerged as starters and five more saw significant action.

Posted: 2nd May 2010 by Brian DiTullio in NFL
The Cleveland Browns Rookie Camp got off to great weather and a bit of a media buzz as third-round draft pick Colt McCoy made his practice debut.
Without actually being at the camp to observe what happened, there's only so much to opine on, but for speculation purposes, the battle for the fourth quarterback spot got a spark with the arrival of Graham Harrell.
Harrell, from Texas Tech, was invited to the ...
This is the second article in a series looking at the fantasy impact of the 2010 Draft Class. In this segment we look at the running back position. I looked at the quarterbacks here .
Ryan Mathews – San Diego Chargers
If he is not projected to be the top rookie fantasy back by everyone I will be thoroughly surprised.
Mathews is a big physical runner that brings some fresh legs at ...
Before his suspension during the 2009 season, Dez Bryant was considered by many as the best wide receiver in college football, and was subsequently gift wrapped to the Dallas Cowboys in the 2010 NFL Draft at 24th overall. The selection was a no-brainer for the ‘Boys and Bryant will more than likely have an immediate and large impact on the receiving game as he should have no problem ...
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers were initially criticized for drafting two defensive tackles in Rounds 1and 2. By the end of the fourth round they had acquired two wide receivers as well.
There is a very good chance that these four players will line up and play against the Cleveland Browns in Raymond James Stadium on opening day.
In retrospect, let's take a look at some of the teams who picked two players ...

Posted: 2nd May 2010 by Bob Cunningham in NFL
All of the talk surrounding the Eagles this offseason has been the departure of Donovan McNabb and the beginning of the Kevin Kolb era. The change at quarterback is supposed to be accompanied with a change in philosophy that will more closely reflect a traditional west coast offense. Call it what you want, but the Eagles have not run a west coast offense over the past couple of seasons ...

Browns Backers,
Now that the 2010 NFL Draft has come and gone, the Cleveland Browns have positioned themselves to improve in areas of need such as the secondary, with the drafting of Joe Haden from Florida, T.J Ward out of Oregon and Larry Asante out of Nebraska, and on the defensive line, with Clifton Geathers out of South Carolina.
Drafting former Tennessee RB Montario Hardesty, All-American QB Colt McCoy out of Texas ...
With the 2010 NFL Draft finally in the books, who came away with the best selections? There is great controversy over most picks in the draft. Although opinions may vary, here is my take on the five best and five worst picks of the NFL Draft. These are in no particular order.
The Five Worst:
