Last weekend, Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson held his first annual Speed Camp at Penn Charter High School with all proceeds benefiting Pancreatic Cancer research. Bill Jackson--DeSean's father--passed away from the disease in May 2009 after being diagnosed during the Eagles' playoff run months before.
Along with his camp, Jackson hosted an Inaugural Gala to help officially launch "The DeSean Jackson Foundation For Pancreatic Cancer." He's urging fans to ...
The AFC East might very well be the most competitive division in the NFL next year. The division has 3 potential playoff teams (and then the Bills).
To start lets look at last years winners, the New England Patriots.
Tom Brady is back, and the Golden Boy at least has a few more years left in him. Some people are questioning his "edge" because of the time he is ...

The results are in for Game Three of the San Francisco 49ers Ultimate Showdown Tournament and despite the closest game thus far, we still do not have an upset. This was the only game of the first round to feature two Super Bowl Champion opponents, and they had remarkably even records. Both were 13-3 in the regular season and 16-3 overall.
Furthermore, they had exactly the same opposing winning percentage. ...
The upcoming 2010 NFL season for Alex Smith will be an important one.
Smith is going into this season with high expectations, since being named the starting quarterback for the San Francisco 49ers. But honestly, this is just not an important season for Smith, it is a make-or-break season for No. 11.
This needs to be the year that Smith finally puts it all together, and prove that he was worth being ...

Have you ever been to the super market, taken a ticket, and waited in line for what seems to be in eternity?
In 2011, the Jets will have seven unrestricted free agents and 17 restricted free agents. Add to that All-Pro corner, Darrelle Revis wants to restructure his contract which expires in 2013, most likely wanting to become the highest-paid player at his position. Revis is only scheduled to only make ...
Every year, the media identifies coaches on the hot seat; in other words, the coaches most likely to lose their jobs.
It's strange, but rarely is the term 'hot seat" applied to players. Furthermore, coaches are fired, yet players are released or traded. Regardless of the debate in semantics, players often don't live up to expectations and are down to their final chance to succeed.
Indeed, ...
Our Favorite Detriot Lions Internet Resources for Discussion

I’m antsy! Not a good thing for an old Jarhead.
With so little going on with our Lions these days, I thought that I’d open a discussion about our favorite Internet resources for Lions information, news, and chat. I have broken the websites into four categories: Daily Surfing Rituals, Sites For Research and Analysis, NFL Draft Sites, and Entertaining Sites With Lions Implications.
Daily Surfing Rituals (AKA Hanging until at least Ten)

The NFL preseason just seems to get longer and longer. They start playing games in early August, with the Hall of Fame game, and don't get to the real games until mid-September. Does it really take a coach four preseason games to figure out who is gonna make the team and who is going home?
I don’t think so…
So why do they do it you ask? Well, it’s all about the ...
Tecmo Super Bowl and the Greatest Players Your Hands Controlled

Today I was rummaging through my closet, packing for what will be yet another brutal trip across the country one way or another, and I cam across my old Nintendo. It was still in the box, it still works as far as I know, and it had a shoebox of games next to it.
However this was not my original Nintendo, I had bought this one on Ebay a few years ...
