The MLB’s Best Bounceback Bets: Fantasy Baseball Outfielders
Posted: 16th March 2010 by Ryan Lester in MLB
Here's a look at some outfielders who failed to meet expectations in 2009 but should be much improved in 2010.
Carlos Beltran, New York Mets
His status is up in the air, but he should go late enough in your drafts that the value will be there.
Milton Bradley, Seattle Mariners
I don't know how anyone expected a union of a volatile Bradley with a volatile Lou Piniella was going to end any way ...
Fantasy Trader’s Football Roundtable: Mark Sanchez or Matthew Stafford?
Posted: 15th March 2010 by Ryan Lester in NFL
I’ve been invited to participate in Fantasy Trader’s fantasy football roundtable.
This week’s topic : With their rookie seasons now in the books, who has the better fantasy career? Matt Stafford or Mark Sanchez?
Click here for the full article .
My response : I'm going to go with the #1 pick Matthew Stafford for a number of reasons. First of all, he already has a premier wide receiver in Calvin Johnson. Megatron ...
Here’s a look at some fantasy basketball players that blew up the box score last night.
Earl Watson, Indiana Pacers Watson had 15 points and five rebounds against Milwaukee. He’s averaging 10.2 points and 5.2 assists in his last five games.
Jerry Stackhouse, Milwaukee Bucks Stack scored 20 points against the Pacers. While he has performed better than I expected, he’s not a fantasy option.
Jason Kapono, Philadelphia 76ers Kapono ...
Fantasy Baseball Bounceback Players û Middle Infielders
Posted: 15th March 2010 by Ryan Lester in MLB
Here’s a look at some middle infielders that should return to form in 2010.
Akinori Iwamura, 2B, Pittsburgh Pirates Iwamura was limited to just 69 games last year. He’s moved on to Pittsburgh where he should return to form. In 2007 & 2008 he averaged .279, 86.5 runs, 6.5 HRs, 41 RBIs, and 10 SBs. He’s only useful in the middle infielder slot.
Stephen Drew, Arizona Diamondbacks It’s not like Drew had ...
NFL News: LaDainianTomlinson and Brady Quinn Have New Homes
Posted: 14th March 2010 by Ryan Lester in NFL
A couple of big-name NFL players have new homes. LaDainian Tomlinson left sunny San Diego for the Big Apple, as he signed on to backup Shonn Greene of the New York Jets.
I thought he would be a good fit with the Vikings, where he could justify to himself that he’s backing up an elite running back. Clearly, LT knows where he is in his career. Otherwise he could not have ...
Here’s a look at some NBA players that blew up the box score last night.
1.) DeMar DeRozan, Toronto Raptors DeMar had 18 points against the Warriors. He's averaging 12.4 in his last five games, but adds little else fantasy-wise.
2.) Jose Calderon, Toronto Raptors Calderon had 24 points and 12 assists. He's a decent option in daily leagues. His numbers in this game were a bit bloated because it ...
Still looking for that right formula.
1. St. Louis Rams: Sam Bradford, QB, Oklahoma Is Bradford the best player in the draft? No. Does he make the most sense fiscally? Not really, but for the money they Rams have to land a franchise QB.
2. Detroit Lions: Russell Okung, OT, Oklahoma State Should they take Suh or McCoy? Probably. However, they need to protect the guy that’s sitting on a pile of ...
Here’s a look at some fantasy basketball players that blew up the box score last night:
Jrue Holiday, Philadelphia 76ers Holiday continued his solid play with 18 points, four rebounds, eight assists, and three steals.
Marcus Williams, Memphis Grizzlies Williams had 16 points and five assists. His outburst came out of nowhere. Pay him no mind.
Kyle Korver, Utah Jazz Korver had a solid game with 14 points, seven rebounds, ...
Last year was forgettable for these catchers, but look for them to return to form in 2010.
Ryan Doumit, Pittsburgh Pirates Doumit was limited to 75 games last year, and hit just .250. That's a far cry from the .318 he hit in 2008. I don't think he's that good or as bad as last year. A .280 average seems more his number. Doumit has played some 1B and RF in ...
Here’s a look at some fantasy basketball players that blew up the box score last night.
Jrue Holiday, Philadelphia 76ers
Holiday is in a nice groove. He dropped 21 points on the Pacers. Would like more than his four assists, but still a solid effort.
Brandon Rush, Indiana Pacers
Rush had 24 points and nine rebounds. He’s been in double-figures in four of his last five games, averaging 13.2 points and 6.2 rebounds.
Dahntay Jones, ...
