Jason Campbell: Is He Really the Redskins Future at QB?
Posted: 26th December 2009 by RealSportsTalk in NFL
I have a hard time believing that the Washington Redskins are going to give Jason Campbell much more time before they make a move, whether that be by trade, draft, or free agency, to bring in another QB. Honestly, I still think Campbell could turn out to be a very solid NFL quarterback, but then I watch him play, and see how far he hasn't come in the ...
With the 2009 free agent market beginning to turn the corner, names are being erased off the chalkboard and only a few big players remain. One week ago when the GM Meetings were taking place, we didn’t see too many signings, only trade rumors. To start the week off, Phillies fans received a nice little Christmas gift from the Toronto Blue Jays. After being strongly connected to trade rumors ...

This year's rookie class was one which was seen by me as being one that was better than it was given credit for at the time of the draft. Everyone knew it was going to be rich in point guards, but it wasn't known just how rich some of those point guards would be. Other players have started stepping it up after slow starts as well. This leaves us to ...
Wade is the only great player on an otherwise pretty putrid team. Without Wade the Heat are absolutely lottery-bound. Michael Beasley might have the potential to be a 20-10 type player, but heÆll do it without playing a lick of defense. Jermaine OÆNeal may be healthy, but his athletic ability has noticeably deteriorated as of late and heÆs being forced play out of position. Mario Chalmers has decent potential, but ...
Anderson Verejao: Looking into Contract Incentives
Posted: 10th December 2009 by RealSportsTalk in NBA
I know that you and I had the same exact thought when the Cavaliers offered hustle player Anderson Verejao a six-year, $50 million dollar contract: "WTF are you doing Danny Ferry? Are you drunk?".
Rightfully so. On the surface, that contract appears to pay Verejao an average of $8.3 million a year for six whole years. A bit much? Further investigation shows us that these "incentives" exist in his contract, but ...
Certainly it has been a season to forget in Washington. Not that much was expected when the season began, but the lackluster performance of the skins has fans wanting answers. Many will blame Jim Zorn. Zorn's future is very unclear in Washington after starting the season with the easiest schedule in football history, Washington has a 2-5 record. Zorn has to shovel if not all then most of ...
