Even in Purple, Brett Favre Still Top Gun in Green Bay
Posted: 3rd November 2009 by Peter Bukowski in NFL
LetÆs be very clear about this: The Minnesota Vikings are a better football team than the Green Bay Packers.á And yes Packers fans, the difference is Brett Favre.
ThereÆs no way the Vikings sweep the Packers if Sage Rosenfels is the quarterback, particularly when you consider how successful Green Bay was corralling Adrian Peterson. But with Brett Favre playing energized and focused, this Vikings team could be scary good.
Michael Strahan mentioned ...
The talk on ESPN today was the state of fans in Green Bay when Brett Favre is announced as the opposing starting quarterback. Would they boo him? Would they cheer him? What was the split? 80/20?
Milwaukee Journal Sentinel sports editor Gary Howard wrote a great piece imploring Packer fans to cheer for the man who has done so much for the NFL's proudest franchise. Former Packer, and close friend ...

Packers Play the Perfect Team to Set Up Their Marquee Match of Season
Posted: 21st October 2009 by Peter Bukowski in NFL
A couple months ago, the Packers beat the living daylights out of the Cleveland Browns at Lambeau in the preseason. The defense was devastating, the offense looked sharp, and it was clear the Browns were simply overmatched.
Through five games, the Packers arenÆt who we thought they were, but this Browns team may actually be worse than we thought they were. No, it wonÆt be a test for Green Bay heading ...
Jermichael Finley rubbed me the wrong way when he tweeted ôNext is lion should trash them,ö in reference to the upcoming match-up with the Detroit Lions. He gave a half hearted apology of sorts while basically saying, ôWhat do you want from me? ItÆs the Lionsö
Now I love JMike as a player, but much like this Packers team, he is talentedáwhile proving nothing.
So untiláthis team proves something, shut up.
I donÆt ...
No Defense For Packers As They Hand Brett Favre His Vindication, For Now
Posted: 6th October 2009 by Peter Bukowski in NFL
If you had told Packer fans Monday morning Adrian Peterson would rush the ball 26 times for 55 yards, lose a fumble for a Green Bay touchdown, Aaron Rodgers would throw for almost 400 yards the Packers would still lose, they'd have told you that you were insane.
Welcome to Crazytown, population: Cheesehead Nation.
As if seeing Brett Favre wasn't unequivocally maddening in an of itself for Green Bay Fans, a Brett ...
As Always, Packers Want Brett Favre to Try and Win It
Posted: 29th September 2009 by Peter Bukowski in NFL
I've never seen Packers fans so down after a 20-point road win. The Rams were without their quarterback, they have no receivers, and they haven't won a game since George W. Bush was in office, but the Packers put it to the Rams on Sunday. It was closer than it should have been for a while, but ultimately the Packers' superior talent and improved resolve took over. ...
Ted Thompson and Packers Flying With No Safety Net
Posted: 24th September 2009 by Peter Bukowski in NFL
The best lesson I learned on the golf course was never let one mistake turn into two. Time for Ted Thompson to learn his lesson.
Many fans bristled to find out the Packers had kept Jarrett Bush over a more experienced play maker in Anthony Smith, who was shining in the preseason. It got worse when the secondary became woefully thin due to injuries against the Bengals...but thank God Green Bay ...
Bad News Bengals: Packers Sloppy Play Dooms Them in Loss
Posted: 20th September 2009 by Peter Bukowski in NFL
The sky is not falling in Green Bay after the Packers lost to the Bengals 31-24. They lost one game early in the year to a hungry team coming off of a heartbreaking loss at home. They have no continuity offensively, and once they find it, they should be fine.
However, as a Packers fan, it hurts me deeply to say it, but, “I told you so.”
Green Bay took Cincinnati too ...
Packers Defense Can’t Let Bengals Offense Regain Form

Carson Palmer to Chad Johnson used to be one of the most dangerous combinations in the league. If you want to get technical, Palmer now throws to Chad Ochocinco, but the point is things just aren't the same in Cinci. The Bengals had gone through a renaissance of sorts, making the playoffs in 2005 thanks in large part to the arm of Palmer and a talented trio ...
