Sabres Face Tough Contest Friday in Push toward Playoffs

The Buffalo Sabres continue to showcase late-period heroics. They scored two late goals on Wednesday and beat the Montreal Canadiens 3-2 in a shootout.
It gave the Sabres a seven-point lead over the Ottawa Senators heading into Friday's game against the Sens. Ten games remain in the season and if the Sabres get two points out of the contest, the division title would all but be locked up.

There's one positive remaining about the Buffalo Bills' season. It's Jairus Byrd, the rookie free safety that's recorded two interceptions in three consecutive seasons for the first time since 1960.
That's it. The offense is at it's lowest point in years, having a measly 18 first downs in two games. Yeah, they beat worse teams in Carolina andáthe New York Jets in consecutive games, but it was all for not.

The Buffalo Bills face a lot of uncertainty entering Monday’s contest against the New England Patriots. New offensive coordinator Alex Van Pelt has devised a new form of the no-huddle offense against one of the better defenses in the NFL.
The Patriots do a great job of eliminating one of the opposing teams best offensive choice, so it forces teams to beat the Patriots with a second and third option.
