As the early hours of Sunday approached, I began to stare at the AFC wild card picture. With eight teams fighting for two spots, I sat back and did not rule anybody out of the playoffs.

In the disappointing loss to the Kansas City Chiefs last Sunday, Pittsburgh held their breath when quarterback Ben Roethlisberger went down with a "concussion-like injury."
