Maybe it is time to part ways with Eric Mangini at seasonÆs end.

If the guy hasnÆt figured it out after nearly four years as a head coach, there's a chance he never will.

The Browns played the Baltimore Ravens tough for a half last night, heading to the locker room at 0-0.

The Ravens' coaches made adjustments, the Browns' coaches didnÆt.

Browns Players, Coaches Have Much To Prove In Season’s Second Half

Jerry Glanville was famous for once saying to a referee, ôThis is the NFL, which stands for Not For Long.ö
á
This popular quote that has fit the leagueÆs cut-throat business will be ringing loud and clear for the remaining eight games in Cleveland, Ohio.
á
Several coaches and players on the Cleveland Browns will be under heavy scrutiny for the remainder of the season. The first half of Eric ManginiÆs inaugural year as ...

Then again, money talks, it always does.

Brady Quinn To Start Against Baltimore Ravens? Sources Say Yes
Posted: 10th November 2009 by Kim Lakner in NFL
Brady Quinn might get another chance after all.
á
According to ESPNÆs Adam Schefter, Quinn will start against the Baltimore Ravens next Monday night.
á
The irony of this potential move is that Quinn was pulled at halftime against Baltimore in favor of Derek Anderson in Week Three.
á
Head coach Eric Mangini said he wouldnÆt make an announcement until Wednesday and hasnÆt spoken to either quarterback yet.
á
On the season, Quinn has completed 59 percent of ...
Bernie Kosar as GM Could Save Brady Quinn’s Career in Cleveland
Posted: 3rd November 2009 by Kim Lakner in NFL
If there is one person in the BrownsÆorganization who should hope Bernie Kosar is indeed the future general manager of the franchise, itÆs Brady Quinn.
á
I have tried to avoid the quarterback topic as best I can this season because this team has problems everywhere. Quinn was probably pulled too early, which is easy to say now, after seeing how poorly Derek Anderson has looked.

Is Marty Schottenheimer on Randy Lerner’s Radar in Cleveland?
Posted: 2nd November 2009 by Kim Lakner in NFL
Forget about it Browns fans, Bill Cowher isnÆt coming to Cleveland in any capacity.
á
Which brings me to another possible candidate to become the teamÆs director of football operations: Marty Schottenheimer.
á
There was speculation that owner Randy Lerner was considering bringing in the former Browns head coach for an interview to take over that same title. Lerner decided to clean house and fire the general manager and head coach and start over.

Browns’ Jamal Lewis Admits This Is Probably His Last Season
Posted: 2nd November 2009 by Kim Lakner in NFL
Maybe heÆs accomplished everything he can in his career. Maybe itÆs the wear and tear on his body. Maybe itÆs just the losing.
á
ItÆs quite possibly none of those things, it could be each of those reasons. Either way, Jamal Lewis has apparently had enough.

Packers-Browns Preview: Green Bay’s Offensive Line in Disarray
Posted: 24th October 2009 by Kim Lakner in NFL
If there was ever a game that the Cleveland Browns could pull an upset, this is it.
The 3-2 Green Bay Packers come into Cleveland with an offensive line decimated by injuries. Both starting tackles, Chad Clifton and Mark Tauscher, along with center Jason Spitz, could miss Sunday’s game. Tauscher is listed as out, while Clifton and Spitz are listed as doubtful with ankle and back injuries, respectively.
The Packers also have ...
At 1-5, and another double digit-loss season imminent, the loss of linebacker DÆQwell Jackson is not as devastating to Cleveland Browns as it would have been if the team was 5-1.
á
ThereÆs no question Jackson is one of the best defenders on the Browns. At 6'0'', 240 pounds, he is undersized for a 3-4 inside linebacker, but is always seen around the football and is the leader of the unit.
á
Before he ...
