Not that we know that Lardarius Webb is overwhelmingly better than any of the other Ravens cornerbacks, but we have witnessed how bad they can be.
At least he has a sense of mystery about him.
HeÆs been pretty good on special teams, and coaches up and down the Ravens sideline rave about him in the local media. And because fans are accurately identifying the secondary as the number one weakness ...

There will come a time where the bright smile must be replaced with a scowl, when the carefree, Californian perspective will submit to championship coldness, and the reality of being a professional will truly set in.
That time is now for Nick Young, who caught a DNP in the Wizards impressive season opening victory over the Dallas Mavericks Tuesday night. No one doubts his physical talents or his intuitive scoring ...

Jose Baez, the NationalsÆformer director of operations in the Dominican Republic, sued the team for what he said was an unjustified firing. The court issued its order last week.

A lot of people wonder what makes the Washington Redskins one of the worst franchises in professional sports. Surprisingly, the biggest reason isnÆt fan censorship or poor management.
ItÆs the fact that iconic former Redskins are all too willing to drag the team through the mud on a daily basis.
When is the last time you heard Bo Jackson trashing the Raiders? Or Willie Lanier slamming the Kansas City Chiefs? ThatÆs ...

We knew that Ravens owner Steve Bisciotti had a vision of getting a young head coach two years ago, but who wouldÆve thought that fresh-faced, then-New England Patriots-coordinator Josh McDaniels was high up on the list ?
He didnÆt interview for the gig, and gave the PC answer on why it was ôbad timing.ö
ôFirst off, I really appreciated the opportunity, but there were two reasons why it wasnÆt the right time ...

The Washington Capitals may be the illness of the NHL Eastern Conference, but even they aren’t immune from the H1N1 virus.
Left wing Quintin Laing has been diagnosed with the illness, and will be apart from the team until he is symptom-free.
Caps coach Bruce Boudreau breaks it down in a TMI kind of way:
“I’m hoping to shake fewer hands,” Coach Bruce Boudreau said. “It gets in your hands and fingers, ...
Washington Wizards Build Vocabulary in Win Over Mavericks
Posted: 28th October 2009 by Jarrett Carter in NBA
It used to be that when you talked about the Washington Wizards, there were but a few words that immediately came to mind. Off the court, you had no problems: swag , quirky, extroverted, silly, immature. The majority of the Wizards were all of those things.
But last nightÆs season-opening road win against the Dallas Mavericks gave Wiz Nation a few more words to describe this team. Premature? Maybe. But ...
Even a team that is struggling deserves a little time off, but it I canÆt lie and say itÆs not exciting to read this tidbit from Aaron Wilson on the RavensÆoff-week practice habits.
àHarbaugh estimated that 75 percent of the players spent part of the bye week working out at the teamÆs training complex. ôEven through the weekend after we kind of mandated some time off, I still ...
Chris Cooley Breaks Tibia, Hearts Across the DMV

Oh the irony of the Washington Redskins. The teamÆs best talent and most marketable player goes down with a broken tibia while running a route.
Oddly enough, it may be a blessing in disguise for the RedskinsÆoffense. Without Cooley on the field to provide a comfortable target for Jason Campbell, the QB started looking to other options on the field. Fred Davis and Devin Thomas both scored and contributed ...
