Brett Favre Should Be Calling As Many Audibles As He Can
Posted: 23rd December 2009 by Dan Adams in NFL
Many people may think that the whole Brett Favre, Brad Childress fiasco is just another power trip of the prima-donna quarterback. My argument is in the defense of Brett Favre and his willingness to audible out of the plays Darrell Bevell and Brad Childress are calling. The past three season under Brad Childress were almost unbearable to watch.
With Tavaris Jackson andáGus Frerotte taking the majority of the snaps, the Vikings ...
NFL Playoffs: Which 7-7 AFC Team Will Make the Playoffs?
Posted: 23rd December 2009 by Dan Adams in NFL
The AFC looks like a cluster of mediocrity after 15 weeks. Eight teams are within one game of a playoff spot.
The Denver Broncos blew their chance to put a stranglehold on one of spots and fell to 8-6áand the Baltimore Ravens kept their one-game lead with a victory against Chicago improving their record to 8-6.
Next in line, six teams: Jacksonville, Tennessee, Houston, Pittsburgh, Miami, and the New York Jets.
What team ...
NFL Playoffs: Why the Minnesota Vikings’ Recent Struggles Are Not a Concern

As the playoffs approach for the 2009-10 season, teams are either gaining confidence or losing it.
A prime example: the Minnesota Vikings.
An offseason of Brett Favre speculation turned into a reality after training camp was finished. Favre decided he would come back to play for at least one more year.á
To the dismay of his Packers fan base, the 40-year-old quarterback, barring injury, would trot onto Lambeau Field wearing purple.
Essentially the best-case ...
The majority of Major League Baseball fans and followers are now well aware of what Joe Mauer can do on the diamond.
In 2001 he was selected as the first overall pick in the draft. At the time it was really a questionable decision with the amount of hype surrounding a right-handed pitcher from the University of Southern California, Mark Prior.á
Minnesota's decision to take Mauer looked like a mistake when Prior ...
A season filled with surprises, undefeated teams, disappointments, and some really bad football franchises will be wrapping up in the next three weeks.
The standouts are pretty obvious in the NFC; the New Orleans Saints are 13-0 and the 11-2 Minnesota Vikings, led by the 40 year-old Brett Favre, have been very impressive through 14 weeks.
In the AFC, there is has been one dominant football team, the undefeated Indianapolis Colts, also ...

Only nine of the 126 wild card teams (7.1%) have ever reached the Super Bowl since 1970. The other playoff teams have comprised of 248 division winners.
To make what could be a very long story and list of numbers shorter, the odds are stacked against the teams who do not play the best in their division.
The likely wild card candidates in the AFC will each be profiled in a section ...
The road to the Super Bowl will likely go through New Orleans in the NFC. Although the Saints boast an undefeated record of 12-0, there continues to be doubt among NFL spectators.
In what should have been their first loss of the season, the Saints escaped Washington D.C. with an unlikely overtime victory. They would have been trailing by ten points in the final minutes had Washington Redskins kicker Shaun Suisham ...
After witnessing the first two games of this new era of Minnesota Wild hockey, I find myself wondering what happened to the defense. Through two games the Minnesota Wild have allowed 29 shots per game and have not really increased their offensive output.
It is going to take time for the team learn the new system that new head coach Todd Richards has implemented, andáit is evident on the ice.
Veteran Wild ...
I counted them out many times during the 2009 season.
Due to the lack of consistent pitching through most of their season. Due to the lack of their most potent power hitter throughout September. Due to the fact that they were seven games out on Sept. 6.
Whenever I have doubted the Minnesota Twins, they turn around and put me in a box with a dramatic resurgence.
After battling back to beat Detroit ...
Ready, Aim, Cuddyer! Minnesota Twins Rally To Tie for Division Lead
Posted: 4th October 2009 by Dan Adams in MLB
Hope was diminishing for the Minnesota Twins when the Kansas City Royals rallied for four runs in the top of the eighth inning. The 'Dome was as quiet as I have ever heard a 48,000+ crowd be following the tying run crossing the plate on Nick Punto's decision to take the double play rather than throwing home.
All was set following Jon Rauch getting the final out of the eighth inning ...
