Posted: 5th January 2010 by Busta Bucket in NBA
Lack of personnel for the Trail Blazers hadn't been a problem lately, but last night Portland finally tripped up and fell to the Clippers in Los Angeles. Brandon Roy was covered like a glove, but the scrappy Blazers put together a solid effort before eventually falling short 105-95. This was the type of game that presumably would have ended in a loss during the Blazers' recent stretch of wins. Guys played hard, ...

Los Angeles Clippers coverage at Clipper Blog. á Point Guard Baron Davis had a rough shooting night in Portland last week. For whatever reason he never got going, but I'm sure he'll turn that around at home tonight. This is a veteran matchup that should be fun to watch from a savvy standpoint. The Blazers also plan on recalling Patty Mills; perhaps he gets into this game and shows the NBA a ...

á As the injuries mount, so do the wins for the Trail Blazers. Against additional odds, the Blazers overcame having only eight active players and finished off the Warriors in Portland, 105-89. At a certain point, I guess basketball is about who wants it more. The Warriors came out hot in the first quarter tonight, piling up 41 points and making every shot they took. But Portland, playing the Tortoise role in this adventure, ...

Game 34: Blazers vs. Clippers, 7:00pm

Los Angeles Clippers coverage at Clipper Blog . Blazers Analysis Clippers PG Baron Davis is capable of tearing Portland apart. Last year, in the first meeting between the Blazers and Clippers in Portland, Baron scored 27 points. He tied the game in regulation with a huge three then killed us in overtime. Our guards can't defend him, so it really just depends if he's on or not. I'm thinking he will be, coming off ...
Update: According to Brian T. Smith, the Blazers will sign Shavlik Randolph tomorrow: Anthony Tolliver was released today and the Blazers sent Patty Mills to the D-league. Adding Randolph will give Portland a another frontcourt option coming off the bench. We'll keep you posted on whether or not another injury exception is coming. Portland's roster now stands at an even 15 players. áRead more NBA news on BleacherReport.com

Game 33: Portland Blazers 93, Philadelphia 76ers 104

BOX SCORE The Blazers lost at home to a not so good Philly team. The Sixers shot nearly sixty-percent from the field and had 60 points in the paint. The Blazers lead throughout a good chunk of the contest but eventually less of their jump shots went through the hoop and they paid for their weak defense.áPortland looked flat throughout most of the game and never managed to give the Rose ...

Point Guards Allen Iverson has missed the 76ers last four games but is expected to return tonight. It doesn't really matter if Iverson is there or not, he's not going to make a difference in the Sixers getting a win. Andre Miller will have something to prove against his old team, and Steve Blake has his touch back from long range. I think our point guards dominate here. Advantage: Blazers á Shooting Guards Brandon Roy will ...

A Christmas Miracle, Game 32: Blazers 107, Nuggets 96

á In what seemed like it might be the toughest single game of the season, the Trail Blazers went to work at home, on National television, against the Nuggets. Led by Brandon Roy's 41 points and a resilient cast around him, Portland won 107-96. Let me first get something out of the way about this most recent stretch of games . Last Monday, apparently not trusting our team, feeling disheartened by injuries ...
