MLB Miscellany: An All-Star Lineup of Ex-Major Leaguers 90 and Older

The recent death of Lonny Frey just weeks after he turned 99 got me wondering about other elderly former ballplayers. A quick visit to Wikipedia produced a list of the ex-major leaguers who are 90 and up, and from there it was an easy process to put together an All-Star lineup for these guys, practically all of whom starred in the '40s.

It's been 19 years since the Ken Griffeys, Sr. and Jr., went back-to-back for homers off the Angels' Kirk McCaskill in Anaheim Stadium on September 14th, 1990.
This moment was the peak of the fairy tale of having two Griffeys in the Mariners' outfield for the latter part of 1990 and first part of 1991.
