Posted: 1st January 2010 by Anthony Emerson in NHL
The 2000s (I refuse to call the previous decade "The Aughts") were filled with many ups and downs for the Boston Bruins.
It began with the Bruins trading beloved captain Ray Bourque to the Colorado Avalanche, and ended with the Bruins winning a ton of awards in Las Vegas, including the Vezina and Norris, and loads of ups and downs in between.Begin Slideshow
Kickers and punters are becoming more and more important to National Football League teams. What began merely as an allmost unimportant job has morphed into perhaps the most vital on the field (just look at Super Bowl XXXVI).
However, who is the best kicker? Is it Adam Vinatieri, Gary Anderson or even Jason Elam? You'll just have to read the article to find out.
If you think I've left anyone important off ...

From late Monday night to early Tuesday morning, the Boston Red Sox made two large acquisitions: John Lackey and Mike Cameron.
Lackey had been rumored to the Red Sox since the offseason started.
The 31-year-old right-hander had pitched his entire career with the Los Angeles Angels.
Cameron (who last year at this time, was rumored to be headed to the Red Sox' arch rivals, the New York Yankees) will likely play left field for ...

As baseball owner's wallets get bigger, so do the contracts of the player they purchase.
The more you pay for a player, the higher the risk of that player failing is. For every good signing, there's ussually about five huge mistakes. Your Carl Pavanos, Jason Schmidts, and Barry Zitos.
This article counts down the 10 worst contracts handed out in this decade. If you think I've left any off, just leave me ...
Yankees Interested in Former Red Sox Pitcher Brandon Lyon
Posted: 2nd December 2009 by Anthony Emerson in MLB
MLB Trade Rumors has reported that the New York Yankees are interested in former Boston Red Sox reliever Brandon Lyon.
Lyon, a Type B free agent, formerly of the Detroit Tigers, posted a 2.86 ERA with a WHIP of 1.11, and a record of 6-5 last season. The Tigers offered him arbitration, which means that Detroit will get a supplemental draft pick if Lyon sign anywhere other than Detroit.
Lyon, 30, spent his 2003 campaign ...
Is Marco Scutaro the Answer for the Boston Red Sox at Shortstop?
Posted: 29th November 2009 by Anthony Emerson in MLB
The rumors that the Boston Red Sox are interested in former Toronto Blue Jays shortstop Marco Scutaro are flurrying.
I prefer Scutaro to almost every other shortstop on the market for the Red Sox. Boston has already let their shortstop from last season's stretch, Alex Gonzalez, go to Toronto.
Scutrao's defense is not as good as Gonzalez's defense, but it's passable compared to some of the other shortstops the Red Sox had ...

But there are still many decisions to be made regarding players. In this article, I'll breakdown a few of the players rumored to be heading to, or from, the Red Sox.
If you think I've left any player off this list, leave me a comment. This ...
