According to ESPNChicago.com, the Chicago Cubs have suspended OF Milton Bradley for the remainder of the season. The Cubs suspended Bradley because of comments he made about there being too much negativity in Chicago.
Is it me or did everyone on the planet see this coming except for Cubs’ GM Jim Hendry? Even my sister, who knows as much about baseball as the table I am writing this post on, ...
Despite not having one of the best players in baseball for the remainder of the year in Justin Morneau, the Minnesota Twins are making serious late-season push towards the playoffs.
Yesterday, the Twins cut the Detroit Tigers lead in the AL Central to just three games. With the AL Central race heating up, I thought I would do a live blog of today’s game between the two AL Central rivals.
Game: Detroit ...
O’s vs. Wade: Imposing Tampa Bay Rookie Davis Gets Decision Against Baltimore
Posted: 18th September 2009 by Adam Bernacchio in MLB
How does a guy who is 6′5″, 220 pounds respond to getting roughed up in Fenway Park against the Boston Red Sox? He pitches a complete-game shutout in his third major-league start against the Baltimore Orioles.
I finally got to watch heralded prospect Wade Davis pitch last night as the Tampa Bay Rays took on the Orioles at Camden Yards. The first thing I thought to myself when I saw Davis ...
New York Mets Make Right Decision with Bobby Parnell

I was all set today to write that the New York Mets need to end the Bobby Parnell as a starter experiment. Well, the Mets beat me to the punch.
According to the New York Post, Parnell will pitch out of the bullpen for the rest of the season. Stop the presses, the Mets have made a smart decision. I knew it would happen someday.
I am still not sure whether or ...

St. Louis Cardinals pitching coach Dave Duncan is one of the best pitching coaches in the game. As a matter of fact, he might go down as one of the best pitching coaches of all-time. Duncan has taken the term “One man’s garbage is another man’s treasure” to the extreme.
From Dave Stewart to Mike Moore to Chris Carpenter, Duncan has taken mediocre pitchers and transformed them into quality major-league starters. Duncan’s latest ...
Yesterday, I did my 2009 All-Fantasy Bust Team. So of course, it’s only appropriate for me to do the 2009 All-Fantasy Breakout Team.
Let’s not beat around the bush. Here is the 2009 All-Fantasy Breakout Team sponsored by the Jose Lima Foundation…“There’s a one-year wonder in all of us.”
Honorable Mention
Billy Butler, Jason Bartlett, Adam Kennedy, Justin Upton, Ryan Franklin, Ubaldo Jimenez, Josh Johnson, Heath Bell, Ben Zobrist
Catcher—Joe Mauer, .373/27/85

After Tuesday night's bench clearing brawl between the Toronto Blue Jays and the New York Yankees, Major League Baseball handed down suspensions for the two main culprits—Jorge Posada and Jesse Carlson.
For their part in Tuesday night's fracas, Posada and Carlson each got four-game suspensions. Their suspensions were reduced to three games because neither Posada nor Carlson appealed the suspension.
If someone can explain to me how Major League Baseball came up with four ...
With most teams having roughly 18-20 games left on their schedule, I think it's safe to say we know by now which players were surprises and which players were busts in 2009.
Tomorrow, we will take a look at the All-Fantasy Breakout Team. As for today, I think we will take a look at who were the fantasy busts in 2009.
These are the players who owners drafted very high in hopes ...
Let’s start with the bad news first.
According to the Minneapolis Star Tribune, Minnesota Twins MVP candidate Justin Morneau will miss the remainder of the season because of a stress fracture in his lower back. This just sucks out loud if you are a Twins fan.
Morneau has a fracture of the L5 vertebrae in his lower back, but will not need surgery. The recovery time is expected to be three months ...
