What a last couple of hours for the Texas Rangers.
In span of what seemed like five minutes, the Rangers traded RHP Kevin Millwood to the Baltimore Orioles for RHP Chris Ray and a player to be named later. Then, in order to replace Millwood, the Rangers signed RHP Rich Harden to a one-year, $7.5 million contract with an $11.5 million option for 2011.

In order to make room on the 40-man roster for Rafael Soriano, the Atlanta Braves have designated OF Ryan Church for assignment. Church came to Atlanta in the Jeff Francoeur trade in the summer of 2009 and hit .260 with two home runs in 44 games for Atlanta.
The Braves have 10 days to either trade him or release him.
