The San Francisco 49ers brought in first round bust Ted Ginn, Jr. as the answer to their special teams woes. Ginn will definitely help out in the return game, his speed and numbers prove that.
I've seen comments on another article about Ginn coming to San Francisco to battle for the number two receiver position. That's not going to happen, Ginn doesn't have the ability as a receiver to even remotely become a number two option.
There's a reason why Ginn has been a major bust up to this point in his career. No team in their right mind drafts a player in the first round, especially at number nine, to be a return man in the NFL.
Ginn will be a special teams player from now on. He'll be used as a punt returner and kick returner for the 49ers. Do not expect to see him anywhere ...
