Nowadays, first round draft picks in the NFL are expected to make an immediate impact.
If they don't perform well in their first few years then they are considered busts and looked down upon in the NFL community.
Luckily, this doesn't seem to be the case for New York Giants' wide receiver Hakeem Nicks. In fact, the second-year player out of the University of North Carolina may have already exceeded expectations.
But now that we have seen what he can do, we are expecting him to excel. And he should.
The 2009 season saw many rookie receivers enter the NFL and Nicks, along with Jeremy Maclin, Percy Harvin, and Kenny Britt, all impressed as first round selections.
But, in my opinion, Nicks had arguably the best season.
