Gone are the days of the one true workhorse running back for NFL teams and in are the times of NFL teams going to two and even three running back rotations in order to keep them fresh and healthy for the season. Currently in the NFL there are very few teams that really utilize the featured back method in their offense with the Titans and Chris Johnson and the Vikings with Adrian Peterson coming to mind first.
