After many speculations long ago due to a $2 million bonus that he was to receive on March 19, the Cleveland Browns have terminated the contract of 2007 Pro Bowl quarterback Derek Anderson.
Anderson has been treading on thin ice for the last two seasons and ever since he had a breakout year in 2007, when he lead the Browns to a 10-6 record and went from waiver wire castoff to a Pro Bowl quarterback.
Sadly, it was all downhill from then on, and Anderson has played notoriously bad the past two seasons, having one of the worst quarterback ratings in the history of the NFL during a few games in 2009.
The writing was on the wall when Browns' president Mike Holmgren traded off his former backup quarterback Seneca Wallace on March 8.
