Around the time bars were making last calls last night, the Houston Rockets pulled off a stunning trade. In a last-second push, the Rockets are reportedly sending Tracy McGrady and sixth-man Carl Landry to the Sacramento Kings in exchange for high-scoring Kevin Martin in a seven-player deal. The loss of Landry is especially shocking (and for me, momentary sadness). But as I have stated all along, I have trust and faith in Houston general manager Daryl Morey. And I truly believe he wouldnÆt make this trade unless he knew it would make the Rockets a better basketball team. Granted, waking up at 6 a.m. to hear this news made me want to crawl back in bed at first in hopes this was just a bad dream.
