BROOKLYN -- Everybody gets excited to watch bowl games this time of year, but let's be honest: many of them are pretty weak.
Obviously, the deeper you get into bowl season, the better the matchups. And here are the five best matchups of the 2009-10 bowl season:
The BCS National Championship Game: Texas vs. Alabama
This is a no-brainer because of what's at stake, but the matchups here also will be compelling. I'll enjoy watching Rolando McClain lead the Crimson Tide's dangerous defense as it tries to keep Colt McCoy and the high-powered Texas offense quiet. Defense has long been Alabama's calling card, but this year the Tide's offense hasn't been too shabby. The school's first-ever Heisman Trophy winner, newly minted Mark Ingram, will be the difference as the crystal ball will find its way ...
