The Fourth of July is a day we celebrate freedom, justice, liberty, and independence. Freedom can take on so many different meanings. It can mean so much to the Oakland Raiders to embrace the freedom that comes with a victorious season in 2010.
Were you recently laid off? Well, you probably are seeking and searching for a job so that you can have the money to enjoy life without a lot ...
On paper, the Minnesota Timberwolves have quite a bit going for them.
They have a potentially strong core of good young players who, if given the chance to gel together over the next five or so years, could get the team close to the playoffs.
And the team is in a good financial position. Even for a small-market team, their payroll is currently very manageable with only one salary over $5 million, ...
After nearly beating the Steelers in the Super Bowl, the resurgent Cardinals returned to the playoffs in 2009 only to lose big in the divisional round to the future champion Saints. The success of the Cardinals has been a great story over the past two seasons, but they now find themselves in a time of transition.
Fantasy hero Kurt Warner has decided to retire, leaving the Cardinals with questions on offense ...
Fantasy Baseball Two-Start Options: Week 14 (July 5-11)

Boston Red Sox Cruise Through Game 81, Half Game Out of First AFter First Half

Eighty-one games…that is the midpoint of the season.
Admit it, Red Sox Nation, if you knew what you know right now back on Opening Day you would have been thrilled to be 17 games over .500 and just a half game behind the NY Yankees on Independence Day (by the way, happy 4th of July to everyone!).
On April 4, we knew about Daisuke Matsuzaka’s injury…but what we didn’t know about was ...
The Peterborough Petes are the oldest junior hockey team in the Canadian Hockey League. They have been lacing them up for the past 54 years and counting.
The Petes started out as a junior team for the Montreal Canadiens, known then as the TPT Petes. The TPT Petes, or Toronto Peterborough Transport Petes, were good off the hop. They recorded their first championship three years after conception.
The Peterborough Petes came soon after, but ...
A player's legacy is determined by many things: championships or lack thereof, individual stats, and more.
But two things are extremely overlooked in how well a player is remembered and how long his legacy will last: their name and number.
Steve Nash won back to back MVP awards. Though right there he distinguishes himself into only a small group of Hall of Famers, no one's truly going to remember him because he ...
