Jerry Hughes, defensive end out of Texas Christian University. You see that menacing purple monster that's about to nail Boise State quarterback Kellen Moore in the picture above? That's Jerry Hughes. And he is my selection in the Featured Columnist Mock Draft. I got an e-mail today telling me I was on the clock. Here’s a look at what SHOULD happen in the upcoming April draft.   1. St. Louis Rams: Oklahoma QB Sam Bradford They’ve passed on Mark Sanchez and Matt Ryan in consecutive drafts; it is time to make a splash.   2. Detroit Lions: Nebraska DT Ndamukong Suh While an offensive tackle to protect Matt Stafford might make more sense, this draft will definitely please any remaining Lions fans.   3. Tampa Bay Bucs: Oklahoma DT Gerald McCoy The ...

2010 NFL Draft: Did Zac Robinson Just Surpass Dan LeFevour?

Posted: 24th March 2010 by Mack Bonner in NFL
Ever since watching this year's Senior Bowl, I've been struggling with the placement of Zac Robinson and Dan LeFevour in the quarterback rankings. It is probably well-known by now that Robinson had one of the best showings at the Senior Bowl, and without a doubt, he was the most impressive quarterback on that day. I really wanted to place him ahead of LeFevour then, just by what I had seen in that ...

Federal prosecutors sentenced Washington Wizards star Gilbert Arenas to three months in jail on Tuesday. In 2004, the San Francisco 49ers and Philadelphia Eagles reached an agreement that sent Terrell Owens to play with the Eagles. In his first season, Owens played in 14 games, caught 1,200 yards and 14 touchdowns. The next season, he only played in seven, yet still able to record over 700 yards and six touchdowns. Frustrated with the team, his contract and his quarterback, Owens took his anger out on everyone ...

San Francisco 49ers 2nd Round Pick

Posted: 24th March 2010 by Brian Winett in NFL
With their third pick in the 2010 NFL Draft... the 49ers select Chris Cook, Corner Back, Virginia. At 6'2", 212 lbs., Chris Cook is the exact kind of player the San Francisco 49ers would like to match up with the bigger receivers in the NFC West like Larry Fitzgerald and T.J. Houshmandzadeh. Ranked 55th overall by scout.com, a five star (out of five) prospect, Chris Cook could very well be around when ...
