Posted: 26th February 2010 by Eric Galko in NFL
Five of the top ten quarterbacks in this class, depending on who you ask, aren’t throwing at the NFL combine, Colt McCoy being one of them.
However, McCoy’s appearance at the Combine won’t just be one for show, as he’ll have a lot of work to do convincing NFL scouts that he’s capable of being a quarterback of the future for their team.

On Wednesday, Mike Francesa, on YES had an interesting discussion on who was the better hitter, Mickey Mantle or Willie Mays.
Francesa said without any question Mays was the better all round player. This writer, might even take some issue with that.
But this article is going to deal with what the numbers say about which was the better hitter in their best years.
Mantle was a three time MVP and also was ...
NFL Draft Thoughts: Get Spiller, Get Clausen, Ignore Bradford
Posted: 26th February 2010 by Alex Ferguson in NFL
We know that The Boy Named Suh and Gerald McCoy are going to go 1-2, which means that St. Louis and Detroit are going to be paying them next year. Both sides are winners on thisùso well done by them. With Tampa Bay and Washington not having a quarterback to speak of, odds are that one of them is going to be picking up Sam Bradford or Jimmy ...

So there was Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Raheem Morris talking about the Bucs being "light years ahead" of where they were last season.
Meanwhile, a team that has virtually no quality receivers decided to allow the best of the bunch walk out the door without so much as a wave good bye.
Wide receiver Antonio Bryant, who caught 122 balls for 1,848 yards and 11 touchdowns while playing with five—count 'em—five ...
2010 NFL Combine: Troy’s Levi Brown Can Shine With Many QBs Not Throwing
Posted: 26th February 2010 by Daniel Wolf in NFL
With the "strategy" that is involved with many quarterbacks skipping the throwing aspect of the NFL Scouting Combine to throw at their respective Pro Day, it gives the more unknown quarterbacks a better chance to showcase their arm in Indianapolis and Troy's Levi Brown may be one of those benefactors.
Brown played in the Sun Belt Conference, which is one of the smaller college markets, but his skill set propelled him ...
Team USA’s Stellar Start May Be Its Own Downfall

I woke up from my nap Wednesday night to JR being completely shocked the Slovaks had beaten Sweden. Now, it is an upset, but really is that shocking?
I can only compare international hockey to international soccer and basketball, and I’ll try to do so the best I can.
In any international play, the game is almost completely different. It’s almost played entirely differently. Stars are still stars but major contributions are ...
Should the Los Angeles Lakers Start Lamar Odom Over Andrew Bynum?
Posted: 26th February 2010 by Hadarii Jones in NBA
The Los Angeles Lakers have the rare luxury of two talented 7-foot players in Andrew Bynum and Pau Gasol starting in their lineup, but their true value may be better realized if Bynum was relegated to the bench.
There are those who would argue the sheer size of Bynum and Gasol on the floor together makes it difficult for opponents to operate in the paint, and while that may be true, ...

With the quartfinals of Olympic hockey being played today, the gold medal game is soon to follow. With the trade deadline looming, Ray Shero will be expected to "catch lightning in a bottle" again as he has the previous two years. The first of these impact trades being the acquisition of Marian Hossa from Atlanta two years ago, then the acquisition of Bill Guerin for a third round pick. Will ...
Here’s a Thought: Grading the Seattle Mariners’ Starting Rotation
Posted: 26th February 2010 by Nathaniel Stoltz in MLB
My last article looked at the Oakland Athletics' rotation. I gave their group a B+overall.
Finally, the last team in my tour of the AL West rotations is the Seattle Mariners.
At the end of this article, I'll compare the Mariners to the A's, Angels, and Rangers, and see who has the best rotation.
I'll be posting a wrap-up article to this series hopefully later today, analyzing strengths and weaknesses of each rotation ...
