Multiple sources have confirmed the report, including ESPN.com .

Not Completely Pointless: Five Washington Redskins Whose Futures Will Be Decided Sunday
Posted: 31st December 2009 by Phillip O'Brien in NFL
It's next to impossible to be excited about the Redskins game this weekend. They have been out of the playoff running for a long time, and can't even say they're playing for respect, since its likly the Chargers will be resting they're starters for most the game. I don't see me watching this whole game, and this is from the guy who froze his butt off watching the whole Skins-Cowboys ...
It has been a roller coaster ride of a season for the Denver Broncos, as cliche' as it may sound. After starting 6-0, the Broncos were sky-high heading into their bye week. They had just gone on the road and beaten the San Diego Chargers, and were ahead in the division by 3.5 games.
Little did they know that history has a nasty habit of repeating itself.

Posted: 31st December 2009 by Jon Neely in NHL
The first half of the Toronto Maple Leafs season has come and gone with no shortage of topics to discuss. Through 41 games the team has taken their fans (and Ron Wilson) on an emotional roller coaster ride of which the good people of Toronto have come to be accustomed to over the years.
But this year might have taken it to a whole new level.
A downright terrible start, followed by ...
Montreal Canadiens End Longest Road Trip Of the Season.
Posted: 31st December 2009 by Francois Gendron in NHL
The Montreal Canadiens will end a seven-game road trip tonight when they face the Florida Panthers. Montreal are on an interesting streak as they have won five of the first six games of this important road trip. Before the beginning of the sequence, I thought the Canadiens needed to win at least five of those seven games to stay in the playoff hunt in the Eastern Conference. The objective ...

Ok, so I've spent a few blog postings whining about how Houston Astros owner Drayton McLane knows as much about baseball as ESPN columnist Rick Reilly (who famously has whined about how boring baseball is despite getting euphoric about that wonderful cure for insomnia, golf). I've also worried about Houston's off-season moves and how creamed cauliflower will have a better 2010 than the 'Stros will.
Today, we take an acrostic look ...
