Jeff Garcia Should Replace Jake Delhomme: Round Two
Posted: 30th September 2009 by TAB BAMFORD in NFL
On September 14, I ventured out on a limb and posed the idea that then former Oakland Raider quarterback Jeff Garcia should replace Jake Delhomme under center for the Carolina Panthers.
Today, I am going out farther on that limb by strongly suggesting that the Panthers take a look at the now former Philadelphia Eagles reserve.
The Panthers are putting perhaps their final season with Julius Peppers in serious jeopardy by keeping ...
Week Four has quite a few good looking showdowns on Sunday.
But it has a great big one on Monday night, a showdown that has been brewing for almost a year now.
Whether you call it a grudge match, or call it teacher against student, or call it a rivalry game: You're right. I'll get to that game a little later.
Last week, I had a great week going 14-2. My only losses ...

Posted: 30th September 2009 by Austin Penny in NFL
The Carolina Panthers continued their depressing start to the 2009 season by losing their third consecutive game on Monday Night Football in Dallas.
The Cowboys overcame a shaky first half to score 21 unanswered points in the second half and beat a Panthers team that is nosediving quickly less than a quarter of the way through the season.
For Panthers fans, Monday night's loss was likely the most disconcerting of the young ...
Welcome toáThe Ledger. I didnÆt have a stellar showing in week three, but I am not afraid to acknowledgeámy mistakes when I make them. This week, there were plenty of mistakes to look back on, so without further adoÃÂ

Jets 24, Titans 17 (Tennessee, +2.5)
At some point, ôgoodö teams win games, and IÆm beginning to wonder if the Titans are a ôgoodö team. Tennessee committed four ...
What makes for better front office management in the NFL? Does success stream to those who are impulsive, gutsy, and spontaneous, or formulaic, cautionary, and evaluative?
The answer resembles a successful NFL offense in that a balanced approach is typically best. Continuing from the offseason and into 2009, the Kansas City Chiefs have seen an overhaul of the team conducted with reactionary fervor and tempered patience.á
Quarterback Tyler ThigpenÆs trade to Miami ...
Step in line, I'm serving up some flavored water.á
I'm looking at the Lions schedule and I see possibilities that most find impossible.á I find hope where people are giving up.á I see salvation where others see Flavor-Aid.
I see the Lions winning more than six games.á I even see glimpses of a team that could make the playoffs.
Playoffs?!á We're talking about playoffs?!
Okay, back down to earth.á I see that it could ...
Five Questions Facing The Knicks For The 2009-2010 Season

October is rapidly approaching, and so is the 2009-2010 NBA season.
While the entire sports world will be focused on NBA basketball during the 2010 offseason, due to one of the highest profile free agent classes in recent memory, basketball fans should pay particular attention to this upcoming NBA season.
Whatever happens this season, could go a long way in determining where many of these available stars sign.
This is especially important ...
Michigan State-Michigan: Spartans Needs to Earn Respect, Not Demand It
Posted: 30th September 2009 by The Wolverine in NFL
Attention all football fans: the Michigan State Spartan football players demand respect.
That's right. They demand it.
And anyone who doesn't give it to them...well, that's just flat out disgusting.I couldn't help but take this topic on after reading some quotes from MSU defensive end Trevor Anderson.
"After about 15 seconds [of playing Michigan], I realized why I didn't like them," he said.á"Just the total lack of respect that they have for our ...
The old sang ôdesperate timeÆs calls for desperate measuresö is true as Coach Eric Mangini has announced Derek Anderson will be the starting quarterback for the Browns Sunday against the 2-1 Cincinnati Bengals.
Coach Mangini spent the entire off-season and training camp deciding on a concrete starter prior to finally anointing Quinn as number one on the depth chart a week before the season opener. However, after beginning the season ...
