Week Four NFL Power Rankings: Baltimore Ravens on Top
Posted: 29th September 2009 by Keith Becker in NFL
My lovely girlfriend drove up with me this weekend to see me off back to school in Oregon and how did I repay her?
By watching football, more football, football video games and then even more football. I actually feel kind of bad, considering she is not a football fan. LetÆs just say, when I said the Cowboys are playing on Monday Night Football, she asked me, ôWho are the Cowboys?ö
But ...
I really love the time between weeks three and four of the season. We've seen teams enough to start to get a feel for who may or may not have a good year. Still, there's a long season left and even an 0-3 start doesn't mean you should start booking your beach house in January just yet. For the Colts, we've seen a lot, yet you know there's still 13 ...
If you saw Ravens Head Coach John Harbuagh's press conference Monday afternoon, you couldn't help but chuckle about the exchange he claims to have had with special teams stand-out Brendon Ayanbadejo.
When asked his thoughts on Ayanbadejo's increased roll on the team's defensive sub-packages, Harbaugh was a little uneasy about the Pro Bowl linebacker's mindset.
ôHe told me something last week that kind of bothered me,ö Harbaugh said.á ôHe told me that ...

Posted: 29th September 2009 by Michael Sipp in NFL
WARNING: THIS LETTER SOUNDS LIKE A DISNEY MOVIE. STILL, PLEASE READ AND COMMENT. THANK YOU.
Dear Mr. Tim Tebow:
As I watch another Oakland Raiders loss in pain, I, along with thousands of Raiders fans, wonder why we drafted some guy named JaMarcus Russell. We've all heard of himùscouts said he was the best quarterback to come out since Peyton Manning.
They said he could throw the ball ...
Improving Bengals Take on Cleveland Browns in Week Four
Posted: 29th September 2009 by Steve Tater in NFL
The Cincinnati Bengals are next in line to give the Cleveland Browns their weekly beating. The Bengals, by all accounts, should be sitting at 3-0 except for a freak play that cost them a win in the waning seconds of opening day.

The Bengals have vastly improved since last seasonÆs debacle largely due to the health of their leader, quarterback Carson Palmer. Palmer calmly led them on a 16-play, 71-yard drive ...

Say it ain't so, Joe.á According to reports, Joe Johnson has turned down the Atlanta Hawks offer of a contract extension believed to be for four years and $60 million.á Johnson will be one of the marquee unrestricted free agents in the much heralded 2010 NBA free agent extravaganza starting on July 1st.

Coming off an 0-3 start with a road trip to San Francisco on Sunday, the Rams had to think they at least had a few days before anything else bad could happen.
á
Wrong.
á
On Tuesday, the NFL announced starting linebacker David Vobora would be suspended for four games for violating the leagues policy on performance enhancing drugs.
á
According to one of VoboraÆs agents, Marc Lillibridge, quoted in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, Vobora is ...
Come to Think of it: Felix Hernandez Is In For a King’s Ransom
Posted: 29th September 2009 by Bob Warja in MLB
ItÆs good to be king.
As Felix Hernandez is eventually going to discover, itÆs also good to be filthy rich.
Oh, not rich to you and I. Oh no, heÆs already beyond that. At $3.8 million this year, thatÆs already three times more than many of us will make in our lifetime.
But rich in the sense of taking-care-of-his-family-for-generations rich. Rich as in lighting-your-cigar-with-hundred-dollar-bills rich. Rich as inàalright, we get it already.
For young ...
